Meeting You

MEETING YOU
Was it a luck
Was it an accident
Was it for a reason
Was it an unreasonable
Was it a full moon day or the dark
We met the evening under the silvery stars and liquid moon
Thereafter, I've completely become yours
Thereafter, I've forgot myself & the outside world
All the time I keep looking for you everywhere
With the wetness in the eyes
And the stromness of missing pain in the heart
Where should I go about to find you
To have you back in our world of lovingness
Don't shatter down my love
Come back to me & love me forever & ever
I am living in the hopefulness
You'll come to meet me again & forever
Oh my true love

My Moonlit Serenade

My Moonlit Serenade, You gifted pain, a haunting cost, A treasure found, a love embossed.  My heart rejoiced, yet something remained,  An ache untamed, a sorrow unnamed. I lived, though joy felt frail, A lingering lack, a mournful wail. Devotion ran deep like a sacred tide,  In fleeting joy, yet emptiness inside.  Life was lived, but something stayed,  A whisper, a shadow, an unmet gaze. You're veiled, my unseen delight, In empty cups, a starless night. Where moments pause, a dream unspun, Awaiting you, my only one. In longing's core, your essence gleams, In tearful eyes, your presence teems. In hope, in thirst, your breath I crave In all I see, your face appears, Dispelling shadows, calming fears You were the thirst, the silent sigh,  The tear that gleamed in my weary eye.  You danced in laughter, in dreams untamed,  You burned in passion, in love unchained. And where my steps found their last refrain,  The cup stood empty, untouched again....

Fire Snow

Some say that love is born of fire, A frantic flame that feeds on breath, To satisfy a wild desire And lead a soul to golden death. I’ve tasted such a burning brand, It seared within my heart and mind; A drought upon a summer land That left a bitter dust behind. But I have known a different cold— Not like the hate that freezes deep, But like the hemlock, dark and old, Where winter crows their vigils keep. For when the fire begins to wane And leaves me heavy with my rue, A dust of snow, like falling rain, Descends to make the spirit new. A sudden brush against the sleeve, A quiet word, a cooling touch; Small graces help the heart believe That passion does not owe us much. For love is neither ice nor flame, But how the white drifts drench the red; It gives the day a gentler name And saves the path that we must tread. -Jairam Kshirasagar
